Pearlgate Track and Field Complex, Mount Pearl About The Junior and Senior High School Provincials are open to ALL schools in this province - NLAA-affiliated and non-affiliated. The benefit of affiliating your school with NLAA is that affiliated schools are eligible for team awards, and the $1 per-student permit fee is waived. Please click here for information on School Affiliation . No regional events or qualifying meets are required to participate. Students must represent and compete for the school they are currently enrolled in. Students from feeder schools are not eligible to participate in these Championships. Categories JUNIOR HS: The Junior Championships are open to girls and boys currently enrolled in grades 7 through 9. Athletes will compete in a single category, regardless of their specific grade level. SENIOR HS: The Senior Championships are open to all high schools and their students. While the Senior HS competition is primarily intended for high school students, eligibility is extended to students registered at that school who are in grade 9. Please note that junior high schools and their students are not eligible to participate in the Senior HS category. We encourage ambulatory throwers and runners to participate. They will be integrated with able-bodied participants during the competition. NEW in 2025: 100m, 200m, 400m, and 4x100m Relays: Starting blocks are optional, but athletes must use a crouch start (4-point start). Events
